The Modern Ceramic Art exhibit scheduled for the month of April 2020 in the Anne Lloyd Gallery, along with the April 3 First Friday Galley Walk, has been cancelled.April's exhibit was to feature a collection of ceramics by several artists with a unique approach to their work with clay, both functional and sculptural The majority of the artists live and work in cities such as Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis. Because current circumstances would limit access to the gallery and also do not allow for a First Friday Gallery Opening, the opportunity for patrons to view and purchase their work in the gallery would be limited. We will explore the possibility of rescheduling some time in the future.

But, there will be regular postings on social media of photos and videos from the Anne Lloyd Gallery throughout the month of April. As a light-hearted substitute for the scheduled exhibit, Arts Council staff and friends will create a casual exhibit of their "quirky collections"; from Coca-Cola cans toaction figures to All-American Girls Professional Baseball League memorabilia. We encourage others to post photos and videos of their quirky collections for the entertainment of all those self-isolating. Be sure to include the hashtag #quirky collections.
