Because the COVID-19 infection rates continue to increase and with the reinstatement of a mask mandate for indoors spaces, the Decatur Area Arts Council will NOT participate in the First Friday Gallery Walk on September 3rd. Contributing factors to this decision include the exhibiting artist not being available to attend the opening event, unease with offering open refreshments, and concern for our patrons as COVID circumstances evolve.

The Arts Council's September 2021 exhibit, The Art of Timing by Champaign artist Pat Baron Monigold, will be open September 3 through 25 in the Anne Lloyd Gallery during regular gallery hours; Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. It features a collection of portraits created by Monigold as she examines her subjects in the most ordinary of settings but with an intimacy that invites the viewer to think deeper and look longer. Masks are required when visiting the Anne Lloyd Gallery
