Dreamweavers LA, in cooperation with the Decatur Area Arts Council, will present “VINCENT – A One-Man Show,” on Sat., April 9

Dreamweavers LA, in cooperation with the Decatur Area Arts Council, will present “VINCENT – A One-Man Show,” on Sat., April 9 at Richland Community College’s Shilling Auditorium, with performances at 2 and 7 p.m. This thoughtful drama is based on the letters exchanged between Vincent Van Gogh and his brother Theo. The play examines the passion and torment of the extraordinary artist's life and death as seen through his brother's eyes. As a one-man show, actor Michael Sullivan will be featured as both Vincent Van Gogh and his brother, Theo.

Show tickets are $16 each and available online HERE or may be purchased at the door.

Other activities related to the show will be taking place...

  1. A raffle is being held for a chance to win a custom-framed record of Don McLean's song "Vincent" (Starry, Starry Night). Raffle Tickets are $3 each or two for $5 and may also be purchased online HERE.
  2. Local artists who purchase a ticket to the show are offered the opportunity to display their artwork in the theatre lobby the day of the show! Deadline for artists to sign up is April 4.
  3. All children ages 5 through 10 years are invited to participate in the "VINCENT" - Coloring Page Contest. Deadline to return entries is April 2.
