2021 Arts in Central Park - Sept. 17-19

Enjoy a festive weekend, including a few new activities.

Decatur Area Arts Council and Gallery 510 invite you to Arts in Central Park in downtown Decatur’s beautiful Central Park on Saturday and Sunday, September 18 and 19, 2021, as well as a Friday evening, September 17, VIP preview party. Approximately 50 booths will be open with artists from throughout the Midwest exhibiting a variety of artwork for sale, including jewelry, pottery, metal sculptures, glass, fiber arts, paintings, and more.

Enjoy a festive weekend, including a few new activities.

  • Kids’ art activities sponsored by Children's Museum of Illinois
  • Caricatures by local artist Ed Lozano, Jr.
  • A special Kids ArtShop for children 12 and under to buy art in the Transfer House
  • Live music - Sat., 10:30-12:30, Celtic Whistle / Sun., 1:30-3:30, Sidewalk Stompers
  • Public Painted Pianos Project in Macon County in the park for folks to play
  • The Paint the Pavement, temporary public art project, for artists, families and groups

Arts in Central Park hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Kids art activities and Kids ArtShop open at 11 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Preview Party for Artists/Patrons - Friday night from 5-7 PM

To “kick off” the weekend is the ever popular Preview Party on Friday evening, September 17, from 5–7 pm. This is our special thank you to those who commit to purchase at least one piece of artwork from the participating artists during the weekend. The selection and price is up to you.
