Gallery Hours: M-F 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Sa 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
This FREE exhibit in the Anne Lloyd Gallery will showcase the creative history of our local railroads, including a variety of artifacts, images, model trains, and historical knowledge on trains traveling through Illinois. There will be unique items such as a Wabash conductor’s hat, Santa Fe dishes, watches, photos, and more!
First Friday Gallery Walk and Opening Cultural Event: Friday, June 7, 5-7 pm.
(The event is open free to the public.)
First Friday Gallery Walk includes three galleries:
- Madden Arts Center - 125 N. Water St.
- In front of building: Child-size train to ride
- 1st Floor Anne Lloyd Gallery: Gallery Exhibit of Local Locomotives
- 2nd Floor Barnett Studio: Hands-On Artmaking
- 3rd Floor: Music by Red Wheelbarrows, presentation about the first railroads in Decatur, plus complimentary snacks and drinks - Blue Connection - 117 N. Water St.
