Two local artists use color in bright and exciting ways
The Decatur Area Arts Council will host an exhibit called “FLOURISH: The Art of Jan Brandt and Mikayla Murray,” March 31 - April 26, 2023, in the Anne Lloyd Gallery at the Madden Arts Center in downtown Decatur.
After the long winter, this exhibit will celebrate the return of color with two local artists who use color in bright and exciting ways. Jan’s soft sculptures feature colors and forms that seem to be bursting right off the walls! Mikayla’s 2D work has dynamic color and movement all its own. Everything about this exhibit is bright, fresh and happy! You will leave the gallery with a smile on your face after experiencing these works, overflowing with whimsy and joy!
