The Decatur Area Arts Council, in cooperation with the City of Decatur, is excited to announce the installation of the first of a series of eight vinyl wraps, designed by local artists, being placed over electrical/signal boxes. This public art project is made possible through a grant from the Heart of Illinois Community Foundation.
The first wrap, entitled “Sweet Acts of Kindness,” was installed at the corner of Main and Main Streets. It was designed by artist Wade Ripple/BYWR Graphics and fabricated/installed by DynaGraphics Inc.
This is another example of how adding public art to our city adds a splash of color around the community and showcases the talent of local artists.
