All group programming, classes, and events hosted at the Madden Arts Center are suspended through April.
The Decatur Area Arts Council (DAAC) is committed to protecting the health and safety of our patrons and staff. DAAC continues to monitor the recent COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, along with the guidelines and safety information released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Macon County Health Department.
In accordance with recent CDC and State of Illinois guidelines that have been released and supporting social distancing, we will be taking the following precautions:
- All group programming, classes, and events hosted at the Madden Arts Center are suspended at least until the end of the month of April. This includes: classes, field trips, Knit Nite, Barn Colony Artists, and other group meetings.
- The Anne Lloyd Gallery will remain open for individual visits but field trips and group visits will be suspended at least until the end of the month.
- All facility rentals will be at the discretion of the renter. If you are renting a space in the Madden Arts Center, you can choose to maintain your rental, reschedule your rental at no charge for another open date, or cancel your event for a full refund.
- Our administrative office will remain open to continue fully serving our community.
You may consider your payment for a class or program a tax deductible donation or you may request a credit for a future class or a refund by contacting arts4all@decaturarts.org. We will address all requests for refunds and credits as quickly as possible.
We will continue to monitor the news to determine what actions may need to be taken. Additional announcements will be issued as circumstances require and decisions are made.
Visit www.decaturarts.org for activity and program suspension and facility closure updates.
We urge you to keep abreast of the latest public health information via the CDC website at www.cdc.gov.
