Gallery - International Arts Experience - Japan - June/July 2025

Gallery Hours: T-F 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Sa 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Part of our annual International Arts Experience, The Art of Japan will showcase traditional as well as modern Japanese art and artifacts. Presented in partnership with the Decatur Sister Cities.

We will also feature classes, activities and events throughout June & July, including ikebana Japanese flower arranging, Japanese calligraphy, and origami taught by Japanese students from our Sister City, Tokorozawa, Japan.

• Japanese Calligraphy Workshop - July 12 (Ages 16+)
• International Arts Camp: The Art of Japan - July 17-19 (Ages 6+)

First Friday Opening Reception - JUNE 6 @ 5-7 p.m.

Event will include...

• Okinawa Eisa Yui, traditional Okinawan dance and drum performance
• Family art activities
• Judo demonstration
• Matcha Bar and Japanese sweets
• Light refreshments
