This exhibit showcases the work of local artists and members of The Barn Colony - a local artists guild that started in Decatur in 1939! The group meets weekly at the Decatur Area Arts Council to explore a variety of techniques and mediums. Their spring exhibit always attracts a variety of artworks and shows off the best of what they have created throughout the previous year.
Opening Reception: May 2, 5-7 pm
First Friday Gallery Walk: Friday, May 3, 5-7 pm.
(The event is open free to the public.)
First Friday Gallery Walk includes three galleries:
- Madden Arts Center, Anne Lloyd Gallery - 125 N. Water St.
- Blue Connection - 117 N. Water St.
- Gallery 510 - 160 E. Main St.
Gallery Field Trips: Open to school and community groups of all ages – Includes a guided tour through the gallery exhibit and a related art project in the studio with an instructor. By appointment during gallery hours (M-F, 9 am-4 pm). Ask about available scholarships!
