Support the Arts

Support the Arts

In 1967, a small group of individuals provided financial support to bring a performance by the Paul Taylor Dance Company to the Decatur area. From that humble beginning, the Decatur Area Arts Council was born. Today we continue to enrich the culture of our community through the generous donations of individuals, foundations, and companies.

There are so many ways that you can support the arts in our area. You can provide financial support by becoming a member of our organization, asking your foundation to support our effort, encourage your company to get involved, remember us with a planned gift, or utilize the matching donations your employer might offer. You can become an advocate by writing to your local, state, and federal representative to keep government support for the arts alive. Or you could become a volunteer and actively engage in providing arts and entertainment programs to others.

Every donation of time or money allows the Decatur Area Arts Council broaden the cultural horizons of our children, families, businesses, and community. Please help us continue our work.

Donations are fully tax-deductible.
