For more than thirty years Doug Johnson has been a landscape painter. His paintings serve to document the artist's deeply felt experience of America's midwest. With these artworks, he deftly explores its communities and byways as part of our communal participation in our environment.

Doug Johnson earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in studio art at Illinois State University and a Master of Fine Arts degree at Northern Illinois University.
