Homeschool Art Classes
Each fall and spring, DAAC offers twelve weeks of affordable arts experiences for homeschoolers between the ages of 5-18.
Kids who are exposed to the arts are better students, have stronger critical thinking skills, and their arts experiences help them to become better problem solvers, not just in art, but in all areas of education and life. DAAC offers arts experiences for students to learn about new artists, techniques, vocabulary and skills. Not only do they create art; they look at it and discuss it. We offer a variety of mediums so kids can find the type of art that they feel most passionate about. As they create a craft, students have a substantive, engaging experience that they can take with them and use beyond our studio.
Some projects require two class periods. The classes are broken into two groups by age. There is a class for ages 5-8, and one for 9-18.
Payment must be made to secure your spot.
Parents are asked to volunteer for at least one class.
Class size is limited to 20.
