A Public Art Project for creative folks!

Are you artistic, clever, maybe even a little crazy? Decatur Area Arts Council is looking for applicants to create "tree huggers" to spruce up the downtown blocks along Merchant, Prairie and Main Streets. The fourth annual Tree Hugger public art project gives artistic folks - from sculptors to graphic artists to knitters to closet creators (and everyone in-between) - an opportunity to choose a theme and dress up a tree trunk with flair. It's a great way to brighten up the winter doldrums and usher in the spring from March to May. Interested applicants should contact Sue Powell at DAAC, 217.423.3189.
