DAAC welcomes a new Education Coordinator

Jenny CowgillDecatur Area Arts Council has hired Jenny Cowgill as its new Education Coordinator. In this role, she will be responsible for coordinating all arts education programming and operations.

Jenny comes to the Arts Council after being an instructor for some of DAAC art classes.  A strong advocate of the Arts, she has taught various art mediums and elements and principals of design for Forsyth Library Summer Art Program, the Brownie and Daisy Girl Scouts, Arts Pals for Maroa/Forsyth Grade School, as well as others, including being a substitute teacher and a private instructor. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art 2-D Design, a Master of Arts in Painting from Eastern Illinois University and a Teaching Certification for Art K-12 from Millikin University.           

She, her husband and two children reside in Maroa, IL.
